About Our Client:

Our client is a fast-growing, investor-backed SME financial institution with an expanding presence across Asia. Backed by private equity, the business is scaling rapidly and seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to transform its operational finance function, strengthen governance, and partner with investors, the CEO, and business heads to drive sustainable value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead finance strategy execution aligned with corporate and investor priorities.
• Oversee transformation of the operational finance function, implementing automation, scalable systems, and analytics.
• Partner with private equity investors on strategic investment, capital allocation, and portfolio optimisation.
• Collaborate with CEO and business heads to deliver profitability, operational efficiency, and shareholder returns.
• Ensure robust financial control, governance, and compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.

Requirements:

• 15 years’ financial controlling experience, with 5+ in senior leadership within financial services.
• Track record in finance transformation in high-growth or investor-backed environments.
• Experience working directly with private equity investors on strategy and value creation.
• Fluency in Mandarinto support and liaise with Hong Kong and Greater China stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification.
